Is Turner lying down? (live version)
(& painting landscapes on the ground?

is a song by Macwarriors Forbidden Rhythms Orchestra.

This song broaches that rarely discussed (yet awkward still) moot point that Joseph Mallord William Turner may have painted some things lying down. Works by Turner such as 'Goldau' in 1843 and 'Snow Storm - Steam-Boat off a Harbour's Mouth' exhibited in 1842 whilst painted in his characteristic style, blending dramatic use of light with forbidding representation of the landscape to dramatic effect, nevertheless because of their swirly swirly-ness, have prompted esteemed art critics to suggest that JMW Turner lay down whilst painting these works.

"How VERY dare they" say I and other opulent optimistic opsimaths...
"Tis nowt else for it then but to discard the criticshisms and seek gin"
